The neighborhoods surrounding Lebanon's courthouse square, rebuilt in Classical Revival granite and limestone between 1909 and 1911, include some of the oldest continuously occupied housing in the Carmel area, with more than a century of exposure to central Indiana's humid summers and whatever moisture-control each era's construction standards allowed.
